Venice is also famous for their Venetian carnival masks. These masks have gained lot popularity over time since the early and contemporary Venetians used them at many events all year round.

The Venetian face masks are intended to conceal one’s identity in most cases. For example, masks are used to hide their faces when they go to casinos and gamble so as not to be recognized by creditors.

Women on the other hand use the Venetian carnival mask, not to conceal their identity, but to beautify themselves. Certain aspects of the mask, the color, texture, chosen wisely, will enhance aspects of a woman’s beauty.
